What you need to know, currently.
This spring is going to be warmer than normal according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This is bad news for the ongoing megadrought in the western United States. According to NOAA, almost all of the Lower 48 will be warmer than normal this spring and most will be drier.
NOAA climate scientist, Deke Arndt, said, “The reason the West is warming is climate change, especially over the multiple decade timeframe.”
This is the worst drought that the West has seen in 1,200 years. It is also a major driving factor in the worsening wildfire season. — Abbie Veitch
